In 1934, on the eve of a strategic transfer of the Red Army to the Soviet Union, Shui Cong, who is visiting her family in Nanchang, is accidentally involved in a conspiracy to massacre the Nanchang underground party. During the operation, Shui Cong is saved by scout Chen Zi Ming, while her husband Xu Guang Xuan is covered up by his comrades and survives. Back at the Central Soviet Zone, Pan Xiu Shan, an expert in charge of the case, declares Xu Guan Xuan a traitor who fears for his life.
